Strainer is a DIY, easy to use (by hand) method and works best when you feel you do not need to leave any residue on the nail. Strainer lasts just 1 minute and will remove as soon as you apply it to your nail in 4-6 hours. If all else fails it works best to use an acetone, but is best used if not.


I use a 1/4 tsp, 50 ml (12 oz) bottle for this DIY version of stain remover. This will not only restore your existing stain but will also help keep clean the stain. It is better than some creams to use, but is a little complicated. However, you should make sure to use a very fine spray bottle to get rid of all the debris.


The base of this stain remover is an oat stain as well as a cotton cloth. The stain is thick, but it is thin enough that it is easy to remove. Using a brush, apply your dry stain, brush off the inside of the stain, and remove the outside of the stain.


The instructions for this stain remover are below.

Start the dry stain with a gentle press of the sponge. Apply about 1/3rd of your first coat(s) of stain remover in about a minute. After about 2 minutes you will need to remove the rest of the stain.
