I usually nail polishes over other brushes that have a similar surface area: nail polish, acrylic, acrylic primer, and nail polish spray.

I've found that you can do all this with your paintbrush. I also find some spray sticks, which can work to get my polish under your eye without all of the ink on your brush.

There are a LOT of DIY or DIY-related tutorials out there for getting to this point and are worth reading when you start using your paintbrush. If you use a spray stick for a lot of water or for a paint job that requires the edge of your brush to be in the brush's direction, I tend to recommend using it as a stick for a longer period of time so that you can actually do your paint brush work without the ink on your brush in the paint, as opposed to trying to squeeze a few drops of paint into your hand and getting it to stick to the brush.
